Africa Bike Week 2011
28 April-1 May 2011
The third annual Africa Bike Week will once again be taking place in Margate, in KwaZulu-Natal province, South Africa, between April 28-May 1, 2011. Almost 80,000 enthusiasts converged on the seaside resort for last year’s event, approximately double the number of attendees at the festival’s debut in 2009.
The 2011 event will feature all the events and attractions that proved so popular in 2010, including the Harley-Davidson Village and Exhibition area, demo rides, ride-outs, a huge array of stalls and vendors, and a fantastic entertainment line-up featuring top acts from the African continent and further afield.
There will also be a reappearance of the popular Mass Ride; last year, more than 2,500 riders turned out for a spectacular ride-out to nearby Port Shepstone.
The Ride-in Bike Show is sure to prove popular once again, so bring along your pride and joy for a chance to win some fabulous prizes.
Martin Engelbrecht, Customer Experience Manager, Africa, Middle East and South East Europe, said: “ABW has grown to be the biggest, most spectacular annual biking event on African soil. Herewith a roaring invitation to all Harley-Davidson enthusiasts to ride in and join us for the fun and excitement on the amazing Hibiscus Coast. We are intent on improving the event year after year and on providing experiences that will electrify our customers and the general public. Harley-Davidson is a loved brand all over the world and this event will make that love for the freedom, great riding and spirit of the brand burn even stronger.”
Once again, Africa Bike Week will be supporting the official Harley-Davidson charity, the Muscular Dystrophy Foundation of South Africa.
