NEW FOR 2010
Fun in the sun!
The 2010 Harley-Davidson® Euro Festival will be well worth the ride! Once again, residing in the beautiful Port Grimaud, just around the corner from the chic streets and harbour of the icon that is the Golfe de St Tropez, this event will take place on May 6-9, 2010. The atmosphere promises to be electric, with music on the beach, good food, DJs rocking until the early hours and bars to whet everyone’s appetite.
And there’s loads of new areas of interest for 2010, including a new entertainment line-up with more bands in more venues. In addition to the main stage on the beach (featuring bands from 9pm-12.30am), there will be a new stage, ‘Plage De Rock’ – featuring live entertainment throughout the day – and a new nightclub, Canopy, opposite the Sun Restaurant that will be open 6pm-3am. There will also be a new Harley bar – the ‘Custom Icon’ Bar on the beach, adjacent to the dealer area.
The event will also host a new trader shopping area with food and bars; more bars with entertainment including the Sun and Café del Mer; Harley-Davidson dealers; Roadhouse collection and event merchandise.
For those wishing to take a free demo ride, there will be two trucks with fleets of the latest bikes available. Of course, the event parade is not to be missed! The ever-growing Custom Bike Show in the pretty village of Grimaud completes the programme.
Prices: Pre- registration H.O.G. Member €40; Pre- registration guest €60; Gate ticket H.O.G. Member €50; Gate ticket guest €70; Day ticket H.O.G. Member €20; Day ticket guest €25.
Please note: this year, the Pre-registration ticket price includes entry to the venue for three days only. The ticket price does not include any camping or merchandise, and there will be no security wristbanding for bikes.
REVIEW 2009 - ROCKING RIVIERA!
The sun shone and the V-Twins rumbled once again for the Harley-Davidson® EuroFestival® in the Golfe de St Tropez. Over the course of the weekend of May 7-10 2009, nearly 8,000 bikers flocked to Port Grimaud for three days of rocking and riding.
While the beautiful surrounding area of the French Riviera provided breathtaking bends by day, tributes to AC/DC and U2 and local bands entertained the crowds by night with the main event on Saturday being the Woodstock revival show, reliving the famous concert of 1967.
The port of St Tropez itself hosted a constant stream of bikers all weekend, parking along the waterfront to show off their pride and joy, as well as to admire the work of others. The spectacular parade on Sunday led bikes through the town where Chapters from all across Europe and beyond were represented in the Chapter Parade of Flags.
As well as the main event site at Port Grimaud, neighbouring towns La Mole and St Maxime hosted their own parties too, with bands, rideouts and barbecues.
The event site itself featured a number of traders from across southern Europe, including On The Road with their range of Harley-branded merchandise for the home, as well as many food and drink outlets.
Demo rides took place all weekend, giving more than 500 visitors the opportunity to test ride the Harley-Davidson model of their dreams.
The custom bike show, held in the nearby picturesque village of Grimaud on Friday, was by far the best show this event has ever seen. Some superb custom bikes entered in various categories including Custom, Radical, Ladies of Harley, Sportster and Big Twin, while the hundreds of visitors enjoyed relaxing in the sun, listening to the big classics performed by French covers band Impact and sampling the culinary delights of the local bars and restaurants, all against the backdrop of gleaming Harley-Davidsons lining the pretty streets.
Hope to see you at next year's EuroFestival 2010 in Port Grimaud, France, May 6-9!
