17th Jun 2011 - 19th Jun 2011 Norway National Rally
Norway National Rally - Sandefjord, Norway - 17-19 June 2011
H.O.G. Chapter South East Norway welcomes you to Norwegian National Rally in Sandefjord.
Sandefjord is rich on memories and traces from the viking ages, the whaling era and from the time when Sandefjord was a well-known spa-town with a health-giving sulfur-spa. Gokstadhaugen, where the Gokstadship was found in 1880, is a popular site to visit. The vikingship Gaia is a true replica of the Gokstadship and is found by the Museum Wharf next to the newly renovated whale-catcher "Southern Actor"
- not far from the perhaps best known trademark of the town: the Whaling Monument. Sandefjord Travel Association's office is situated in "Kurbadet".
"Kurbadet" or the old Spa, which was built for the high-class spa-guests in the 1830s. Now it has been rebuilt as a cultural centre thereof the name "Kulturbadet" (The culture-spa). A short walk from the harbour you will find the unique Whaling Museum, which is one of the most visited attractions in Sandefjord. Other of the bigger attractions such as the Town Museum and the Maritime Museum are within walking distance.
At Sandefjord Airport TORP we have arranged for flights with the famous "Harvard" and the legendary Dakota (DC-3). See the campground from the air - prepare for an amazing flight over historical grounds. You will be amazed.
Enjoy a great weekend with excellent music, amazing boat-trips or flights with vintage airplanes and an awesome ride-out together with other biker-friends.
